Synopsis of Bill
Senate Bill 567 appropriates $300 thousand from the general fund to Public Education
Department for the purpose of purchasing and installing playground equipment and improve
playgrounds and playing fields in the Gadsden Independent Schools.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The appropriation of $300 thousand contained in this bill is a nonrecurring expense to the
general fund. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year
2010 shall revert to the general fund.
SIGNIFICANT ISSUES
Senate Bill 567 provides funding to the Gadsden Independent Schools for playground equipment
and improving playgrounds and playing fields.
