    Your EDUCATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 237

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

1. On page 4, line 19, strike "using electronic or print

media available" and insert in lieu thereof a period and "In accordance with guidelines established by the department, the school district shall publish notification in a newspaper of general circulation that the report has been prepared and is available for distribution. The notification shall include how and where the copies of the report may be obtained".

     2. On page 4, line 20, before the period, insert "and shall include a list of the topics covered in the report card".

     3. On page 4, line 21, after the end quotation mark, insert a period.

     4. On page 4, line 21, strike "and", strike line 22, strike line 23 through "to" and insert in lieu thereof "The department's guidelines shall".
