AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES IN THE ESTANCIA VALLEY, EASTERN BERNALILLO COUNTY AND SOUTHERN SANTA FE COUNTY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Thirty thousand dollars ($30,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the economic development department for expenditure in fiscal year 2010 to contract with a certified economic development organization that focuses on job creation, business extension and retention for three rural areas in the Estancia valley in Torrance county, eastern Bernalillo county and southern Santa Fe county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2010 shall revert to the general fund.
