AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO ASSIST STUDENTS RETURNING TO NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2010 to establish a program to assist former New Mexico state university students who did not complete their degree to return to higher education and earn a post-secondary credential. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2010 shall revert to the general fund.
