AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR PUEBLO AND APACHE EMERGENCY RESPONSE OPERATIONS.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--

          A. Four hundred thirty thousand dollars ($430,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the Indian affairs department for expenditure in fiscal year 2013 to provide funding for tribal emergency response operations during emergency situations in the following amounts:

                (1) one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) for the ten southern Indian pueblos;

                (2) one hundred thirty thousand dollars ($130,000) for the eight northern Indian pueblos;

                (3) seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) for the Jicarilla Apache Nation; and

                (4) seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) for the Mescalero Apache Tribe.

          B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2013 shall revert to the general fund.
