AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE PUBLIC EDUCATION DEPARTMENT TO SUPPORT INNOVATIVE DIGITAL EDUCATION AND ONLINE LEARNING PROGRAMS IN FOR STUDENTS IN PRE-KINDERGARTEN THROUGH GRADE TWELVE IN NEW MEXICO PUBLIC SCHOOLS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($1,250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the public education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2013 to support innovative digital education and learning for online learning programs for students in pre-kindergarten through grade twelve in New Mexico public schools. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2013 shall revert to the general fund.
