    Your EDUCATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 300

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

1. On page 2, line 2, after "provides", insert "at least".

     2. On page 2, line 4, after "child", insert "and provides excused absences for any additional days missed by a pregnant or parenting student for which a longer period of absence is deemed medically necessary by the student's physician".

     3. On page 2, line 8, after "days", insert "per semester" and after "absences", insert a comma and "in addition to the number of allowed absences for all students,".
