AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A TECHNOLOGY COLLABORATIVE.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico institute of mining and technology for expenditure in fiscal year 2014 to support the council of university presidents' development of a technology research collaborative in fostering centers of excellence at participating research and higher education institutions. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2014 shall revert to the general fund.
