AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PROVIDERS TO DETERMINE THE FEASIBILITY OF BILLING THROUGH MEDICAID AND TO DEVELOP THE BILLING INFRASTRUCTURE.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the children, youth and families department for expenditure in fiscal year 2015 to provide technical assistance through a statewide domestic violence coalition to domestic violence providers to assess the feasibility of providing mental health services billed through medicaid and to develop the billing infrastructure if it is found to be feasible. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2015 shall revert to the general fund.
