    Your JUDICIARY COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 46

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

     1. On page 2, line 5, strike "has been" and insert in lieu thereof "prior to 2004 was".

     2. On page 2, line 6, strike "grant" and insert in lieu thereof "grant-merced".

     3. On page 2, line 9, after "confirmed", strike the remainder of the line, strike all of lines 10 and 11 and strike line 12 through the first occurrence of "or".

     4. On page 2, line 13, after "grant-merced", insert "or by a state or federal court".

     5. On page 3, line 6, after "grant-merced", insert "or by a state or federal court".

     6. On page 3, line 8, before the semicolon, insert "; provided that the conveyance of that partition is affirmed by a court of competent jurisdiction and that the partition is certified by the Guadalupe Hidalgo treaty division of the office of the attorney general to have been managed as common lands for the heirs of that partition for at least twenty years prior to the enactment of this 2015 act. The Guadalupe Hidalgo treaty division may establish methods and procedures for certification".
