HOUSE FLOOR AMENDMENT number ___1__ to HOUSE JUDICIARY COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR

                                       HOUSE BILL 75

Amendment sponsored by Representative Nate Gentry

    1. On page 1, line 18, after "TRAINEES", insert "; PROVIDING A CONTINGENT REPEAL".

    2. On page 17, between lines 24 and 25, insert the following new section:

    "SECTION 20. CONTINGENT REPEAL.--If any provision of Section 4 of this act or the deletion of Subsection J of Section 10-7E-4 NMSA 1978, defining "fair share" in Section 13 of this act or the amendment to Subsection G of Section 10-7E-9 NMSA 1978 in Section 15 of this act is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or otherwise invalid, then Section 19 of this act shall be repealed and the version of Section 50-4-22 NMSA 1978 in effect immediately prior to the effective date of this act shall be restored as if no amendment had been made.".

    3. Renumber the succeeding section accordingly.
