    Your PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 42

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 1, line 15, strike "RELEASED FROM" and insert in lieu thereof "DURING".

    2. On page 1, strike lines 20 through 25, and on page 2, strike lines 1 through 6 and insert in lieu thereof the following new subsection:

         "A. The secretary of human services shall adopt and promulgate rules to provide that incarceration shall not be a basis to deny or terminate enrollment in medicaid.".

    3. On page 2, line 7, strike the paragraph designation "(2)" and "upon" and insert in lieu thereof:

         "B. Upon".

    4. Reletter the succeeding subsections accordingly.

    5. On page 2, line 21, after the period, strike the remainder of the line.

    6. On page 2, line 22, through page 4, line 20, strike Paragraphs (1) through (6) in their entirety.

    7. On page 5, between lines 15 and 16, insert the following new subsection:

         "G. The secretary of human services shall adopt and promulgate rules consistent with this section.".

    8. Reletter the succeeding subsection accordingly.,

and thence referred to the JUDICIARY COMMITTEE.
