AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO FOR A MENTORING PROJECT FOR NINTH GRADERS IN CERTAIN ALBUQUERQUE HIGH SCHOOLS.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2016 for a mentoring project for ninth-grade students at Atrisco heritage academy high school, Rio Grande high school, Robert F. Kennedy high charter school and West Mesa high school in Albuquerque. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2016 shall revert to the general fund.
