    Your PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 358

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 1, line 14, strike "A MINIMUM OF ONE HALFWAY HOUSE" and insert in lieu thereof "HALFWAY HOUSES".

    2. On page 1, line 15, after "RESIDENTIAL", strike the remainder of the line, strike lines 16 and 17 and insert in lieu thereof "FACILITIES.".

    3. On page 3, line 1, after "facility", strike the remainder of the line.

    4. On page 3, line 2, strike "residential facility for women".

    5. On page 3, line 3, strike "2016" and insert in lieu thereof:

    "2018. In establishing the halfway houses and transitional residential facilities, the department shall consider the needs of both the male and female inmate populations".

    6. On page 4, line 23, after the semicolon, insert "and".

    7. On page 4, lines 24 and 25, strike Subsection C in its entirety.

    8. Reletter the succeeding subsection accordingly.,

and thence referred to the JUDICIARY COMMITTEE.
