SENATE BILL 605


has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:


    1. On page 7, strike lines 5 through 16 in their entirety and insert in lieu thereof:


         "U. Compensation received by a head administrator through an employment contract between the head administrator and the charter school or a contract between the head administrator serving in any capacity and another educational institution, a local school board, a charter management organization or any other entity that provides educational, management or consulting services, products or technology shall not exceed the lesser of:


             (1) eighty percent of the compensation of the local superintendent of the school district where the charter school is located; or


             (2) one hundred ten percent of the average compensation in the school district where the charter school is located received by:


                  (a) elementary school principals for a head administrator of a charter school whose highest grade level is grade six;


                  (b) middle school principals for a head administrator of a charter school whose highest grade level is grade eight; or


                  (c) high school principals for a head administrator of a charter school whose highest grade level is grade twelve.


         V. As used in this section, "compensation" includes salary, benefits, merit-based supplemental compensation and any other forms of compensation."".,
