    Your RULES COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE JOINT MEMORIAL 20

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 1, lines 11 and 12, strike "THE SECRETARY OF STATE, COUNTY CLERKS AND UNIVERSITIES TO STUDY" and insert in lieu thereof "A STUDY BE CONDUCTED OF".

    2. On page 2, line 1, strike "complaints" and insert in lieu of thereof "new experiences".

    3. On page 2, line 4, strike "complaints" and insert in lieu thereof "experiences".

    4. On page 2, line 8, after "that", strike the remainder of the line, strike lines 9 through 11 in their entirety, strike line 12 up to the semicolon and insert in lieu thereof:

    "an election expert associated with one of the state's public universities, with specific experience in studying the state's election administration, be commissioned to conduct a study on the effectiveness of voter convenience centers in the state's election process, in cooperation with the secretary of state and county clerks".,

and thence referred to the PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE.
