AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF EASTERN NEW MEXICO UNIVERSITY TO ESTABLISH A STEM-H STUDENT SUCCESS CENTER TO INCREASE MINORITY STUDENTS' INTEREST IN, PREPARATION FOR AND SUCCESS IN SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, MATHEMATICS AND HEALTH-RELATED FIELDS.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred eighty thousand dollars ($180,000) is appropriated to the board of regents of eastern New Mexico university for expenditure in fiscal year 2017 to establish a STEM-H student success center to increase minority students' interest in, preparation for and success in science, technology, engineering, mathematics and health-related fields. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2017 shall revert to the general fund.
