SENATE FLOOR AMENDMENT number ___2__ to SENATE MEMORIAL 26

Amendment sponsored by Senator Craig W. Brandt

    1. On page 1, line 14, after "GALLERY", insert "AND ENSURE CONTINUED COMPLIANCE WITH THE ANTI-DONATION CLAUSE OF THE CONSTITUTION OF NEW MEXICO".

    2. On page 3, line 22, after the semicolon, insert "and".

    3. On page 3, between lines 22 and 23, insert:

    "WHEREAS, the payment of fair market value for private use of publicly funded facilities remains an important aspect of compliance with the anti-donation clause of the constitution of New Mexico; and

    WHEREAS, in economically trying times for New Mexico highlands university, it is especially important that it continue to receive at least fair market value compensation for the use of its publicly funded facilities by private entities;".

    4. On page 4, between lines 6 and 7, insert:

    "BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that New Mexico highlands university be requested to continue to require at least fair market value compensation for the use of its publicly funded facilities by private entities and ensure continued compliance with the anti-donation clause of the constitution of New Mexico; and".
