    Your JUDICIARY COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 16

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

1. On page 2, lines 4 and 5, remove the brackets and line-

through.

     2. On page 3, line 10, after "child", insert "willfully".

     3. On page 3, line 16, after "finds", insert "beyond a reasonable doubt".

     4. On page 3, lines 22 through 24, strike "Extension of the child's commitment under this subsection shall follow the procedures to extend a child's commitment in Section 32A-2-23 NMSA 1978." and insert in lieu thereof "Notice and hearing are required for any extension of a child's commitment.".,

and thence referred to the APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE.
