Your FINANCE COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred
HOUSE BILL 131, as amended
has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:
1. Strike all senate judiciary committee amendments.
2. On page 1, line 19, before "In", insert the subsection designation "A.".
3. On page 1, line 25, strike the colon and insert in lieu thereof a comma.
4. On page 2, line 1, strike the subsection designation "A.".
5. On page 2, line 6, strike "; and" and insert in lieu thereof a period.
6. On page 2, lines 7 through 14, strike Subsection B in its entirety and insert in lieu thereof:
"B. A judicial district may establish an alternative dispute resolution program by court rule approved by the supreme court. Parties shall pay the cost of the alternative dispute resolution program pursuant to a sliding fee scale approved by the supreme court. The sliding fee scale shall be based on ability to pay. The fee shall be paid to the district court to be credited to the fund."".
