Mr. Speaker:

    Your CONSUMER AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 149

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

     1. On page 2, between lines 9 and 10, insert the following new subsection to read:

          "B. Conduct of a person that results in any of the actions described in Paragraphs (1) through (3) of Subsection A of this section but that occurred without intent to deceive, mislead or interfere and at the express and provable direction of the person's supervisor or manager shall not cause the person to be charged with obstruction of a state audit.".

     2. Reletter the succeeding subsection accordingly.,

and thence referred to the JUDICIARY COMMITTEE.
