    Your JUDICIARY COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 349

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

1. On page 10, strike lines 8 through 12 and insert in lieu thereof:

          "A. A driver shall yield the right of way to a transit bus when an illuminated yield sign is displayed on the rear of the bus and the bus is attempting to merge into a traffic lane.".

     2. On page 10, line 15, strike the comma and insert in lieu thereof a period, strike the remainder of the line and strike all of lines 16 and 17.

     3. On page 10, between lines 17 and 18, insert a new Subsection C as follows:

          "C. This section does not relieve a driver of a transit bus from any applicable traffic laws or duty of care.".

     4. Reletter the succeeding subsection accordingly.
