    Your PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 173

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 3, line 23, after the semicolon, insert "discussion and documentation of an advance directive;".

    2. On page 4, line 21, after the comma, insert "resources and support relating to advance directives,".

    3. On page 5, line 7, strike "and".

    4. On page 5, line 9, strike the period and insert in lieu thereof "; and".

    5. On page 5, between lines 9 and 10, insert the following new paragraph:

             "(6) information relating to using an advance directive to document the care decisions made in conjunction with a palliative care provider to ensure that care goals can be honored in any setting.".

    6. On page 6, line 1, after the semicolon, insert "discussion and documentation of an advance directive;".,

and thence referred to the RULES COMMITTEE.
