Mr. President:
Your JUDICIARY COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred
SENATE BILL 275, as amended
has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:
1. On page 7, between lines 3 and 4, insert:
"E. establish instructor qualifications for hands-on massage therapy instruction within the minimum curricula;".
2. Reletter the succeeding subsections accordingly.
3. On page 10, line 6, strike "defined in Section 61-12C-3 NMSA 1978".
4. On page 10, between lines 8 and 9, insert:
"D. A continuing education provider who is an individual who was an active New Mexico registered independent massage therapy instructor on the effective date of this 2017 act shall submit to the board a syllabus and one-time fee for any course not previously approved by the board.".
5. Reletter the succeeding subsections accordingly.
6. On page 10, lines 10 and 11, strike "as defined in Section 61-12C-3 NMSA 1978".
