    Your APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE

FOR SENATE BILL 474, as amended

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

     1. Strike Items 1 and 2 of Senate Floor Amendment number 1.

     2. On page 2, line 10, after "2018", insert "and through June 30, 2021".

     3. On page 2, lines 11 and 12, strike "any other local" and insert in lieu thereof "a".

     4. On page 2, line 12, after "laboratory", insert "in a class A county with a population greater than six hundred thousand according to the most recent federal decennial census".

     5. On page 3, between lines 14 and 15, insert the following new sections:

     "SECTION 3. TEMPORARY PROVISION.--On July 1, 2021, the unexpended and unencumbered balance of the sexual assault examination kit fund is transferred to the general fund.

     SECTION 4. DELAYED REPEAL.--Section 2 of this act is repealed effective July 1, 2021.".
