Mr. President:

    Your PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 316

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 3, line 14, after "agency", insert "that is included in the state's financial statements".

    2. On page 4, line 3, after "entities", insert "and agencies not included in the state's financial statements".

    3. On page 7, line 6, strike "and" and insert in lieu thereof "that are included in the state's financial statement and their".

    4. On page 10, between lines 9 and 10, insert the following new subsection:

         "A. the cost of a single, combined audit of agencies that are included in the state's financial statement shall be borne by the department of finance and administration;".

    5. Reletter the succeeding subsections accordingly.

    6. On page 13, lines 19 and 20, strike "maintained by state agencies and local public bodies".,

and thence referred to the FINANCE COMMITTEE.
