    Your PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 1

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 3, line 9, after the period, insert:

    "The department shall hold a public hearing on the proposed program prior to submitting the program for federal approval.".

    2. On page 4, line 8, after "that", insert ", with respect to eligible prescription drugs to be imported pursuant to the program,".

    3. On page 4, line 9, after "tracking", strike "and" and insert in lieu thereof a comma and after "tracing", insert ", verification and identification".

    4. On page 4, line 10, after "360eee-1", insert a semicolon, strike the remainder of the line and strike all of lines 11 through 14.

    5. On page 6, line 12, after "department", insert ", in consultation with the board of pharmacy,".,

and thence referred to the FINANCE COMMITTEE.
