    Your HEALTH AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

     HOUSE JUDICIARY COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR

HOUSE BILL 111, as amended

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 3, line 2, strike "resident's portion of the rent payment for each rental period that the resident is in default." and insert in lieu thereof "monthly rent payment. If the resident's rent is subsidized by a government agency, the maximum late fee shall be ten percent of the portion of the rent that the resident

pays for the dwelling unit and shall not include the portion paid by the government agency.".

    2. On page 5, line 16, after "mailing", insert ", emailing or hand delivering".

    3. On page 5, line 22, strike "serve" and insert in lieu thereof "mail, email or hand deliver".,

and thence referred to the JUDICIARY COMMITTEE.
