    Your APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

 

SENATE BILL 42, as amended

 

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

 

     1. On page 1, line 12, after "FUND", insert "; REQUIRING A REPORT".

 

     2. On page 2, line 16, after the semicolon, insert "and".

 

     3. On page 2, line 17, strike "from July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023" and insert in lieu thereof "on and after July 1, 2022".

 

     4. On page 2, line 20, strike the semicolon and insert in lieu thereof a period.

 

     5. On page 2, line 21 through page 3, line 2, strike Paragraphs (3) and (4) in their entirety.

 

     6. On page 4, line 13, after the semicolon, insert "and".

 

     7. On page 4, line 14, strike "from July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023" and insert in lieu thereof "on and after July 1, 2022".

 

     8. On page 4, line 15, after the semicolon, insert "or".

 

     9. On page 4, lines 16 through 19, strike Paragraphs (3) and (4) in their entirety.

 

    10. Renumber the succeeding paragraph accordingly.

 

 

                             

 

 

 

    11. On page 5, between lines 4 and 5, insert the following new section:

 

     "SECTION 4. TEMPORARY PROVISION--SOLVENCY REPORT.--Before July 1, 2022, the educational retirement board shall report to the department of finance and administration, any other affected agency, the legislative finance committee,legislative education study committee and any other appropriate interim legislative committees on fund status and options to improve pension plan solvency without additional contributions from public employers.".

 

     12. Renumber the succeeding sections accordingly.,
