STELL | 0006| | 0007| | 0008| | 0009| | 0010| | 0011| AN ACT | 0012| MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR VARIOUS CAPITAL PROJECTS FOR THE CITY | 0013| OF ARTESIA IN EDDY COUNTY; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. | 0014| | 0015| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO: | 0016| Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred twenty-five | 0017| thousand dollars ($125,000) is appropriated from the general | 0018| fund to the state department of public education for expenditure | 0019| in fiscal years 1996 and 1997 for the purpose of purchasing and | 0020| installing computer technology for various elementary schools in | 0021| the Artesia school district. Any unexpended or unencumbered | 0022| balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1997 shall revert to | 0023| the general fund. | 0024| Section 2. APPROPRIATIONS.-- | 0025| A. Forty-nine thousand five hundred dollars | 0001| ($49,500) is appropriated from the general fund to the local | 0002| government division of the department of finance and | 0003| administration for expenditure in fiscal years 1996 and 1997 in | 0004| the following amounts for the following purposes: | 0005| (1) forty thousand dollars ($40,000) for the | 0006| purchase of vehicles for the municipal police department for the | 0007| city of Artesia in Eddy county; and | 0008| (2) nine thousand five hundred dollars ($9,500) | 0009| for purchase and installation of computer technology for the | 0010| municipal library for the city of Artesia in Eddy county. | 0011| B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining | 0012| at the end of fiscal year 1997 shall revert to the general fund. | 0013| Section 3. EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public | 0014| peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately. | 0015|  | 0016| |
