0012|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE A HYDROLOGIC ANALYSIS OF THE

0013|     VILLAGE OF PLACITAS TO DETERMINE GROUND WATER AVAILABILITY, FLOW

0014|     AND CHEMISTRY.

0016|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0017|       Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand dollars
    |
0018|     ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local
    |
0019|     government division of the department of finance and
    |
0020|     administration for expenditure in fiscal year 1997 for a
    |
0021|     hydrologic analysis of the village of Placitas to determine
    |
0022|     ground water availability, flow and chemistry.  The local
    |
0023|     government division of the department of finance and
    |
0024|     administration shall seek the advice of and use any pertinent
    |
0025|     reports of the office of the state engineer, the interstate
    |
0001|     stream commission, the water quality control commission and the
    |
0002|     department of environment relevant to the hydrologic analysis. 
    |
0003|     This appropriation is contingent on the board of county
    |
0004|     commissioners of Sandoval county providing matching funds of at
    |
0005|     least ten thousand dollars ($10,000) from sources other than the
    |
0006|     state.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the
    |
0007|     end of fiscal year 1997 shall revert to the general fund.
