0015| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0016| Section 1. REPEAL.--Sections 27-2A-1 through 27-2A-9 NMSA
|
0017| 1978 (being Laws 1994, Chapter 87, Sections 1 through 9), the
|
0018| Medicaid Estate Recovery Act, are repealed.

0008| 1. On page 1, line 16, after "repealed" insert "when the federal

0009| government issues medicaid block grants. Until the repeal, the human
|
0010| services department shall define "homestead of modest value" to mean a
|
0011| property that does not exceed one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000)
|
0012| for property tax purposes".
