0012|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A TUTORING AND SOCIAL SERVICES YOUTH

0013|     PROGRAM IN DONA ANA COUNTY.

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0016|       Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--One hundred twenty thousand
    |
0017|     dollars ($120,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the
    |
0018|     children, youth and families department for expenditure in
    |
0019|     fiscal year 1997 for the purpose of contracting for services to
    |
0020|     provide tutoring and social services to youth in Las Cruces and
    |
0021|     Hatch who have been disenrolled, suspended or dropped from
    |
0022|     school to enable them to return to school successfully.  Any
    |
0023|     unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of
    |
0024|     fiscal year 1997 shall revert to the general fund.
