0012|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR AN EXPANDED EMERGENCY MEDICAL

0013|     SERVICES PROGRAM; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0016|       Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--One hundred ninety thousand
    |
0017|     dollars ($190,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the
    |
0018|     primary care and emergency medical services bureau of the public
    |
0019|     health division of the department of health for expenditure in
    |
0020|     fiscal years 1996, 1997 and 1998 for the purpose of developing
    |
0021|     expanded emergency medical services training programs and
    |
0022|     components and implementing additional expanded emergency
    |
0023|     medical services models in certain high priority medically
    |
0024|     underserved areas of the state.  Any unexpended or unencumbered
    |
0025|     balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1998 shall revert to
    |
0001|     the general fund.
    |
0002|       Section 2.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
    |
0003|     peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
