0012|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY TO

0013|     IMPROVE CAMPUS SECURITY.

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0016|       Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--One hundred eight thousand
    |
0017|     three hundred fifty-six dollars ($108,356) is appropriated from
    |
0018|     the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state
    |
0019|     university for expenditure in fiscal year 1997 to improve campus
    |
0020|     security.  This appropriation may be used to hire and train
    |
0021|     police officers and purchase equipment and supplies.  Any
    |
0022|     unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of
    |
0023|     fiscal year 1997 shall revert to the general fund.
