0012|     RELATING TO CAPITAL EXPENDITURES; MAKING APPROPRIATIONS TO

0013|     PURCHASE EQUIPMENT AND COMPUTER SOFTWARE FOR THE MINERS' COLFAX

0014|     MEDICAL CENTER LOCATED IN COLFAX COUNTY; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

0016|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0017|       Section 1.  APPROPRIATIONS--MINERS' TRUST FUND--PURPOSE.--
    |
0018|            A.  The following amounts are appropriated from the
    |
0019|     miners' trust fund to the miners' Colfax medical center located
    |
0020|     in Colfax county for expenditure in fiscal years 1996 through
    |
0021|     2000 for the following purposes:
    |
0022|                 (1)  thirty-nine thousand dollars ($39,000) to
    |
0023|     purchase a blood gas oximetry unit;
    |
0024|                 (2)  thirty-three thousand dollars ($33,000) to
    |
0025|     purchase bath tubs for the long-term care facility;
    |
0001|                 (3)  two hundred twenty-five thousand dollars
    |
0002|     ($225,000) to purchase an ultrasound machine;
    |
0003|                 (4)  forty-eight thousand dollars ($48,000) to
    |
0004|     purchase a phacoemulsification unit;
    |
0005|                 (5)  sixty-five thousand one hundred dollars
    |
0006|     ($65,100) to purchase electric beds for the long-term care
    |
0007|     facility;
    |
0008|                 (6)  thirty-three thousand dollars ($33,000) to
    |
0009|     purchase order entry software;
    |
0010|                 (7)  thirty thousand dollars ($30,000) to
    |
0011|     purchase an x-ray film storage unit;
    |
0012|                 (8)  one hundred twelve thousand seven hundred
    |
0013|     dollars ($112,700) to purchase optical disk software and
    |
0014|     hardware;
    |
0015|                 (9)  thirty-two thousand dollars ($32,000) to
    |
0016|     purchase an ultrasound machine to be used in the obstetric
    |
0017|     department; and
    |
0018|                 (10)  one hundred seventeen thousand dollars
    |
0019|     ($117,000) to purchase a nursing information computer system.
    |
0020|            B.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining
    |
0021|     at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the miners' trust
    |
0022|     fund.
    |
0023|       Section 2.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
    |
0024|     peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
