0012|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO FOR THE

0013|     ELECTRONIC DISSEMINATION VIA THE INTERNET OF INFORMATION

0014|     RELEVANT TO LATIN AMERICAN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT; DECLARING AN
    |
0015|     EMERGENCY.

0017|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0018|       Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand dollars
    |
0019|     ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of
    |
0020|     regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in
    |
0021|     fiscal years 1996 and 1997 for the purpose of funding the 
    |
0022|     Ibero-American science and technology education consortium to
    |
0023|     electronically disseminate via the internet information relevant
    |
0024|     to Latin American economic development.  Any unexpended or
    |
0025|     unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1997
    |
0001|     shall revert to the general fund.
    |
0002|       Section 2.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
    |
0003|     peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
