0012|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE PETROLEUM RECOVERY RESEARCH

0013|     CENTER AT NEW MEXICO INSTITUTE OF MINING AND TECHNOLOGY.

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0016|       Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--One hundred eighty-five
    |
0017|     thousand dollars ($185,000) is appropriated from the general
    |
0018|     fund to the board of regents of New Mexico institute of mining
    |
0019|     and technology for expenditure in fiscal year 1997 for the
    |
0020|     purpose of matching federal grants to operate the petroleum
    |
0021|     recovery research center for technology transfer and enhanced
    |
0022|     oil recovery.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining
    |
0023|     at the end of fiscal year 1997 shall revert to the general fund.
