APPROPRIATION.--Four hundred thousand dollars | 0017| ($400,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state | 0018| department of public education for expenditure in fiscal year | 0019| 1997 for the purpose of coordinating, supporting and monitoring | 0020| public service learning opportunities and activities in the | 0021| public schools to enable young people to make significant | 0022| contributions to the welfare of the community by participating | 0023| in community-based organizations and individual initiatives. | 0024| All students, including students with disabilities, must be | 0025| afforded public service learning opportunities.
