  Mr. President:
  
    Your JUDICIARY COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred
  
                          SENATE BILL 509
  
  has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation
  that it DO PASS, amended as follows:
  
     1.  On page 1, line 18, strike "There shall", strike lines
  19 through 22 in their entirety and on line 23, strike "Taos County"
  and insert in lieu thereof:
  
  "There shall be two district judges in the eight judicial district,
  serving divisions one and two.  One of the judges shall maintain his
  principal office in Colfax or Union county and the other judge shall
  maintain his principal office in Taos county.".
