0012|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE OFFICE OF THE NATURAL RESOURCES

0013|     TRUSTEE FOR A WATER QUALITY STUDY ON THE RED RIVER.

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0016|       Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars
    |
0017|     ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the office
    |
0018|     of the natural resources trustee for expenditure in fiscal year
    |
0019|     1997 for the purpose of contracting for services to conduct a
    |
0020|     baseline water quality study on the Red river.  Any unexpended
    |
0021|     or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1997
    |
0022|     shall revert to the general fund.
