0016|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0017|       Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Four hundred fifty thousand
    |
0018|     dollars ($450,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the
    |
0019|     energy, minerals and natural resources department for
    |
0020|     expenditure in fiscal year 1997 for settlement costs and
    |
0021|     litigation expenses related to the establishment of the
    |
0022|     Petroglyph national monument.  Any unexpended or unencumbered
    |
0023|     balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1997 shall revert to
    |
0024|     the general fund.
