  Mr. Speaker:
  
     Your BUSINESS AND INDUSTRY COMMITTEE, to whom has
  been referred
  
                    HOUSE JOINT MEMORIAL 38
                                
                                 has had it under consideration and reports same with
  recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:
  
     1.  On page 1, line 12, strike the second occurrence of "AND"
  and insert in lieu thereof a comma.
  
     2.  On page 1, line 13, after "SAFETY" insert "AND LOCAL
  FIREFIGHTER REPRESENTATIVES".
  
     3.  On page 2, line 8, strike "and" and insert in lieu thereof
  a comma.
  
     4.  On page 2, line 9, after "safety" insert "and local
  firefighter representatives".
  
     5.  On page 2, between lines 12 and 13, insert the following:
  
     "BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the local firefighter
  representatives include one each from the New Mexico municipal fire
  chiefs association, the county fire officers affiliate of the New
  Mexico association of counties and the New Mexico firefighters
  association; and".
