0012|     REQUESTING THE STATE HIGHWAY AND TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT TO

0013|     STUDY THE FEASIBILITY OF PAVING A PARKING LOT AT THE UNIVERSITY

0014|     OF NEW MEXICO CAMPUS IN GALLUP.

0016|       WHEREAS, enrollment at the university of New Mexico campus
    |
0017|     in Gallup has increased, and many students commute by motor
    |
0018|     vehicle from throughout McKinley and Cibola counties; and
    |
0019|       WHEREAS, facilities for parking at the campus are
    |
0020|     inadequate, and the existing main parking lot is in need of
    |
0021|     repair; and
    |
0022|       WHEREAS, the state highway and transportation department
    |
0023|     has the expertise to help correct this situation;
    |
0024|       NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE
    |
0025|     STATE OF NEW MEXICO that the state highway and transportation
    |
0001|     department be requested to study the feasibility and design and
    |
0002|     prepare cost estimates for paving and improving a parking
    |
0003|     facility at the university of New Mexico campus in Gallup; and
    |
0004|       BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this memorial be
    |
0005|     transmitted to the secretary of highway and transportation.
