  Mr. President:
  
    Your RULES COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred
  
                     SENATE JOINT MEMORIAL 35
  
  has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation
  that it DO PASS, amended as follows:
  
    1. On page 2, line 8, strike the word "redirect" and insert in
  lieu thereof "study the advisability of redirecting".
  
    2. On page 2, between lines 11 and 12 insert the following:
    
    "BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the human services department study
  include participation of the department of health, the state agency
  on aging, the governor's committee on concerns of the handicapped,
  care and service consumers, providers and advocates and various
  organizations and associations involved in long-term care; and",
  
  and thence referred to the FINANCE COMMITTEE.
