0005| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0006|      Section 1.  GENERAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT--APPROPRIATIONS.--
    |
0007|           A.  Seven hundred thousand dollars ($700,000) is appropriated
    |
0008| from the subsequent injury fund to the general services department for
    |
0009| expenditure in fiscal year 1997 to renovate and make improvements to
    |
0010| existing facilities at camp Sierra Blanca for use as a work camp for
    |
0011| juvenile offenders.
    |
0012|           B.  Four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) is appropriated
    |
0013| from the subsequent injury fund to the general services department for
    |
0014| expenditure in fiscal year 1997 to design, construct and equip a special
    |
0015| adjustment unit at the youth diagnostic and development center in
    |
0016| Albuquerque. 
    |
0017|           C.  Four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) is appropriated
    |
0018| from the subsequent injury fund to the general services department for
    |
0019| expenditure in fiscal years 1996 and 1997 for the purpose of completing
    |
0020| construction of and equipping a new minimum-security facility at
    |
0021| southern New Mexico correctional facility in Dona Ana county. 
    |
0022|           D.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the
    |
0023| end of fiscal year 1997 shall revert to the general fund.
    |
0024|      Section 2.  CHILDREN YOUTH AND FAMILIES DEPARTMENT--APPROPRIATION.--Five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) is appropriated
    |
0025| from the subsequent injury fund to the children, youth and families
    |
0001| department for expenditure in fiscal year 1997 for repairs to and
    |
0002| maintenance of the youth diagnostic and development center in
    |
0003| Albuquerque.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the
    |
0004| end of fiscal year 1997 shall revert to the general fund.
    |
0005|      Section 3.  OFFICE OF THE STATE ENGINEER--APPROPRIATION.--Four
    |
0006| hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) is appropriated from the subsequent
    |
0007| injury fund to the office of the state engineer for expenditure in
    |
0008| fiscal year 1997 for the purpose of making repairs to Ute dam.  Any
    |
0009| unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year
    |
0010| 1997 shall revert to the general fund.
    |
0011|      Section 4.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public peace,
    |
0012| health and safety that the provisions of this act take effect
    |
0013| immediately.
