Strike House Appropriations and Finance Committee Amendments 1 through 11. 2. On page 1, line 11, strike "APPROPRIATIONS" and insert in lieu thereof "AN APPROPRIATION". 3. On page 1, line 11, strike "; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY". 4. On page 1, strike lines 14 through 25, strike pages 2 through 6 and insert in lieu thereof the following section: "Section 1. APPROPRIATION.-- A. Seven million six hundred thousand dollars ($7,600,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state equalization guarantee distribution for expenditure in fiscal year 1998 for distribution to school districts to provide sufficient funds for a statewide average two percent salary increase for all public school employees. Any unencumbered or unexpended balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1998 shall not revert to the general fund. B. Four hundred thousand ($400,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the transportation operations distribution to provide sufficient funds for a statewide average two percent salary increase for all public school transportation employees.
