0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR TO

0012|     INSTALL A YEAR-ROUND, TOLL-FREE TELEPHONE LINE; DECLARING AN

0013|     EMERGENCY.

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0016|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Thirty-five thousand dollars
    |
0017|     ($35,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the office
    |
0018|     of the governor for expenditure in fiscal years 1997 and 1998
    |
0019|     for the purpose of installing, advertising and operating a
    |
0020|     year-round, toll-free telephone line.  Any unexpended or
    |
0021|     unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1998
    |
0022|     shall revert to the general fund.
    |
0023|          Section 2.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
    |
0024|     peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
