0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO TRAIN OR HIRE EMERGENCY MEDICAL

0012|     TECHNICIANS FOR THE JEMEZ VALLEY IN SANDOVAL COUNTY; DECLARING

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0016|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Sixty thousand dollars
    |
0017|     ($60,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the
    |
0018|     department of health for expenditure in fiscal years 1997 and
    |
0019|     1998 for the purpose of hiring, and training if necessary, two
    |
0020|     additional licensed emergency medical technicians to be
    |
0021|     stationed at the pueblo of Jemez and to respond to emergency
    |
0022|     medical needs of Jemez valley residents.  Any unexpended or
    |
0023|     unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1998
    |
0024|     shall revert to the general fund.
    |
0025|          Section 2.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
    |
0001|     peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
