0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE CRIME VICTIMS REPARATION

0012|     COMMISSION TO CONTRACT FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT PROGRAMS.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand dollars
    |
0016|     ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the crime
    |
0017|     victims reparation commission for expenditure in fiscal year
    |
0018|     1998 for the purpose of contracting for sexual assault
    |
0019|     programs, including those that help to promote effective law
    |
0020|     enforcement and prosecution of sexual crimes, provide medical
    |
0021|     and psychological assistance to victims of these crimes,
    |
0022|     develop prevention strategies to discourage such crimes and
    |
0023|     provide professional training.  Any unexpended or unencumbered
    |
0024|     balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1998 shall revert
    |
